When Going gets Tough, The Tough gets Going

The genesis of success, I believe is planning and execution. Planning is the most helpful activity which has a lot of blatant benefits. They are clarity in thinking, identifying risks, prepare for worst case scenarios with mitigation plan, elimination of pressure and speed in execution. I came to know of these benefits only when I entered the professional world. In order to execute your plan you need to be assertive. If someone is trying to change your plan or alter its execution unnecessarily, you need to be assertive and say no to their request. Planning has bequeathed me lot of benefits. I was able to be very productive because of an effective plan that I used to come up whenever I get a new assignment. Whenever some new task is assigned to me, I analyze it completely; prepare a risk list and its mitigation plan. I prepare a micro level schedule. This has helped me to track my work against the original plan and make me put some extra effort at right time in case of any issues. It is very difficult for me to live without planning. One another term that is a close aide of planning is prioritizing. You need to decide the priority of your tasks in your plan correctly.
